BAGS, BAGS, BAGS... A GIRL CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY:)

bags are so fab i decided to make a million of them... ok maybe not a million but defo a lot... & here they all are (with a few pin cushions for good measure!!!):)

the first is my 'knitting bag', it's made from various scraps of material all sewn together in a haphazard manner & has very thick interfacing ironed onto the back. i'm going to use it to hold all of my wool & needles & knitting projects (currently i'm knitting a black scarf for someone special ... shhhh!!!) it's fully lined with beautiful white cotton with purple flowers. i wasn't sure what to use for the handles but i think the red polkadot material was a good choice:)

secondly we have the washbag/cosmetic bag i made as part of my sister's Xmas gift. i had a rectangle of the black & white material that was just the right size for this project. i used the Carolina pattern from Burdastyle for this, it's very easy to follow & you can make easy alterations... like adding as many pockets as you like!

then there's the drawstring bags & little zippered purses... i think they will go down a treat for all my girlfriends this Xmas with some little gifts inside! :)

i used Pink Penguins tutorial to make the patchwork bag above, follow the link to her page - it's so cute,
aren't bags just great??
